Take young researchers, put them together in virtual seclusion, give them an unprecedented degree of freedom and turn up the pressure by fostering competitiveness" ~Dr. James D. Watson Bioclues is a non-profit organization Of, By, and For the Bioinformaticians in India. It aims at bringing together research scientists interested in Bioinformatics, the inter- and multi- disciplinary science to understand biological systems at the molecular and cellular level using informatics and computational algorithms, approaches, and models. The principal goals and driving force for Biolcues are to study, develop and spread Bioinformatics in a scientific, academic, technologic and industrial environment in India. The organization has predominantly members from India or of Indian origin, but others are also welcome as members. One task of the society is to arrange annual conferences on Bioinformatics. In February 2010 we will organize the first virtual bioinformatics Conference in India. Bioclues.org was recently recognized by Asia Pacific Bioinformatics Network (APBionet.org), a regional affiliate of International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB). Get registered and be part of Bioclues and participate in the pursuits to search for clues in biology. |
